Fascinating Spots :

While going from Satana towards Dodheshwar village there is a junction on the road. The road in the front goes to Kotbel village which is the base for Bishtha fort. The road to the right goes to Kolipada village and the road to the left goes to Karhe village. 1 km on the road to Karhe village from the junction an unpaved road goes to the left. A 5 minute walk on this path takes us to a jungle cover and a temple of Goddess Saptashrungi. A pathway from this temple leads to a small hill on which there is a flag mounted. Karha fort can be seen from here. A proper used pathway can be seen while ascending the fort. 10 minutes walking on this route comes to a point where a red picture of monkey is installed on two wooden pillars under a stone. Locals refer this to as “Makad Dev” which literally means Monkey God. Moving ahead from here we come to a plateau in 20 minutes. It is estimated that the fort summit and the entrance must have been here as there are carved stone lying around which are usually a part of the door arch. There is also another carved pillar stone which has many carvings on it on all its four sides but due to the weather they have been eroded. One of its sides has Lord Ganesh and 3 artistes below it. One of the sides has a horse rider carved. 1o minutes ascend from this ascend takes us to rock cut steps and a rock cut cave which was used to keep an eye on the approach path to the fort. A 2 minute walk from here gets us to the fort. There is a temple of Goddess Bhavani and two water tanks behind it which are now dried. To the right of these water tanks there is a large caved water tank built on the lower side which is also dried. Coming back on the top to the opposite side there is another water tank but it doesn’t have potable water. Moving ahead from here proceed towards the edge and get down to the lower side where one has to descend a rock patch using proper equipments. After descending here we come across three water tanks of which the last tank has potable water. It takes 30 minutes to visit the entire fort. Bishtha fort, Fopira hill and Ajmera fort can be seen from the top.
