      Yawal village is located on the Chopda - Burhanpur route and was a marketplace for the goods arriving through the Satpuda ghat ranges. To protect this trade route and the marketplaces two forts were built - one in Yawal and another in Pal which is located in the Satpuda range. Yawal fort is located on a small hill which stands on the bank of a river.

This fort is also known by the name of Nimbalkar fort and alongwith is Pal, Rasalpur Sarai forts can be visited in a single day.

Fascinating Spots :

      A road from Yawal village leads to the Court building which is adjacent to the fort complex. To the left of the court building we can see the fortified wall and its two bastions which are built half in brick and half in stone. The path going through teh bush takes us to the devastated entrance door and further this path takes a turn to take us further to the fort summit. The fort premise is in a very bad shape and ill maintained. There are remnants of structures and two dried water tanks on the fort. There are a total 7 bastions on the fort and it takes about 15 minutes to visit the entire fort.
Ways To Reach :
      Bhusawal is the nearest town with a railway junction which is 19 kms from Yawal. State transport buses are available from Bhusawal to reach Yawal.
