I have been to AMK, with prejudice mindset of AMK is the toughest trek.
To be honest No its not, one has to be very careful as its pretty much steep and full of scree, but AMK is sheer pleasure for trekkers. Its really difficult in rainy season, rather it should not be attempted :) AMK is termed as difficult or hard as it needs some rock climbing gear for 2 patches or else its pretty much normal. Its more of a endurance trek as one needs to climb 3 forts in 2 days. Kulang has tremendous climb and one can get very tired and therefor it has sharpest descend as well :D But every trekker must do it to see view from top, its just priceless in winter :)

In the year 2011 and 2012 it has been seen that many groups have branded AMK (Aland Madan Kulang) as the toughest trek in Sahyadri !!
Well, this may be true but what do you feel. Is AMK the most difficult trek or is there any other trek that you rate as more tougher than AMK. Keep Posting and Polling !!! |
