Safe Climbing Initiative Get together

I would like to introduce the “Safe Climbing Initiative (SCI)”

Ø  Safe Climbing Initiative (SCI) is the only organization working for the Mountain Safety in India. 

Ø  This is a social organization which is working for the safety of rock climbing routes by conducting RE-BOLTING by anchor replacement.

Ø  Since 2002 SCI is conducting activities such as, First aid training, Equipment safety training, GPS training etc.

Ø  Anchor replacement is basically replacement of old RING type bolts by new V2A special steel bolts. The life of these bolts is more than 50 years and has a breaking strength of 3000Kgs.

Ø  Till date the SCI has undertaken the RE-BOLTING work at several places namely नागफणी (Duke's Nose), कळकराई, तैलबैला, (चारही मार्ग), वानरलिंगी, वजीर, लिंगाणा भैरवगड and made these climbing routes safe.

Now SCI is pleased to cordially invite all Mountain Lovers from Maharashtra and other parts of India for SCI GET TOGETHER' 2013 to be held on 23rd February at Naneghat in Junnar region between 12.00 Hrs  to 08.00 Hrs.

The main object of the event is to spread the mountain safety activity of SCI.
