KAVNAI
I visited fort kavnai near igatpuri
with Trek Kshitij On 6 th july 2014 .It was a fascinating and refreshing experience. We started the trek at
10 am with 51 other participants at the base village of the fort kavnai.it was
a small sleepy village . Our trek leaders name was rakesh jathar .After taking introductroductary
round we started our trek. Although it
was a monsoon trek but there was no sign of rain yet. The fort is in igatpuri
range.we can reach the top of fort in one and half hour. There is a ladder
before the door of the fort. There are 3 cristen the top of the fort. The cristen are maid in the besolt rock, the water in it is
cristal clear. There is a temple of kavnai devi.
There is a dilapidated structures near the pond.we can see Trigalwadi,
Kalsubai, AMK,Patta from top of the fort.
There is nothing special happened on this fort. This fort was used as
watch tower. This was a ossum trek. Kaustubh Amit Samant Edited by kausamant - 15 Jul 2014 at 7:15pm |
