किल्ल्यांवरील टाकी, तलाव , विहीरी या व इतर पाणी साठावण्याच्या पध्दती हा माझ्या आवडीचा विषय आहे. किल्ल्यावरील हे पाणी साठे किल्ल्याबद्दल बरीच माहिती सांगून जातात. किल्ल्यावर किती शिबंदी असावी, किल्ला बांधला त्यावेळेचे पडणार्या पावसाचे प्रमाण, किल्ल्याचे महत्व वाढल्यावर पाणी साठवण्यासाठी केले गेलेले नवे उपाय यांचा अंदाजही या पाणी साठ्यांवरून करता येतो. किल्ला लढता ठेवण्यासाठी सैनिक अन्नधान्या इतकेच किंवा त्याहून जास्तच पाणी साठ्याला महत्व होते. त्यामुळे हा पाणी साठा वाढवण्याचे, त्या टाक्यात, तलावात जास्तीत जास्त पाणी साठवण्याच्या अनेक युक्त्या आपल्या पूर्वजांनी (त्याकाळच्या स्थापतींनीं) शोधून काढल्या होत्या. http://samantfort.blogspot.in/2013/08/water-stabilisation-systems-on-forts_16.html" rel="nofollow - http://samantfort.blogspot.in/2013/08/water-stabilisation-systems-on-forts_16.html  |
