I would like to introduce the “Safe Climbing Initiative (SCI)”

 

Ø Safe Climbing Initiative (SCI) is the only organization working for the Mountain Safety inIndia. 

Ø This is a social organization whichis working for the safety of rock climbing routes by conducting RE-BOLTING byanchor replacement.

Ø Since 2002 SCI is conductingactivities such as, First aid training, Equipment safety training, GPS trainingetc.

Ø Anchor replacement is basicallyreplacement of old RING type bolts by new V2A special steel bolts. The life ofthese bolts is more than 50 years and has a breaking strength of 3000Kgs.

Ø Till date the SCI has undertaken theRE-BOLTING work at several places namely नागफणी (Duke's Nose), कळकराई, तैलबैला,(चारही मार्ग), वानरलिंगी, वजीर, लिंगाणा भैरवगड and made these climbing routes safe.

Now SCI is pleased to cordially invite all Mountain Loversfrom Maharashtra and other parts of India for SCI GET TOGETHER' 2013 to be heldon 23rd February at Naneghat in Junnar region between 12.00 Hrs  to 08.00 Hrs.

 

The main object of the event is to spread the mountainsafety activity of SCI.

 

In order to enable us for necessary preparation for food andother facilities at the venue, we request you to kindly register yourself atany of the following centers.
