I am Santosh Kamble, took part in above mention trek TAKMAK GADH along with Kshitiz. It was very nice experience. Whole kshitiz team sound professional and supportive to all of us who were going on trek first time with kshitiz. Thats true, we successfully completed trek with 8 years boy and 62 years uncle. Special thanks to Mr Shridatta Raut for rout guideline and detail information about takmak gadh. It was quite hard trek, but we able to do because of proper management and valuable guideline. I would like to go for hard trek with this team again !

ट्रेक क्षितीज संस्थेचा ट्रेक दिनांक २४/११/२०१३ रोजी "टकमक गडावर" गेला होता. ट्रेक करतांनाच किल्ल्यावर जाण्याचा मार्ग दाखवणारे बाण जागोजागी ऑईलपेंटने काढण्यात आले. ट्रेकचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे किल्ले वसई मोहिमेचे श्री. श्रीदत्त राऊत आमच्या सोबत होते. त्यामुळे किल्ल्याचा इतिहास जिवंत झाला, किल्ल्यावरील सर्व महत्वाची स्थळे पाहाता आली. ट्रेक मध्ये ८ ते ६२ वयोगटातील २९ जणांनी भाग घेतला होता. रणरणते उन, कस पाहाणारा चढ यावर मात करत ट्रेक लीडर तुषार धुरीच्या मार्गदर्शना खाली सर्वांनी ट्रेक यशस्वीरीत्या पूर्ण केला.

टकमक गडाचा इतिहास, त्यावरील अवशेष पाहाता त्याचे संवर्धन होणे आवश्यक आहे. किल्ले वसई मोहिमेचे श्री. श्रीदत्त राऊत २००७ पासून या किल्ल्यावर सातत्याने काम करत आहेत. त्याच्या प्रयत्नानेच किल्ल्यावरील पाण्याची १ टाकी साफ झालेली आहे आणि त्यामुळे किल्ल्यावरील पिण्याच्या पाण्याचा प्रश्न तुर्तास तरी सुटलेला आहे. तरीही किल्ल्यावर करण्यासारखे भरपुर काम बाकी आहे.
टकमक किल्ले संवर्धनाच्या दृष्टीने ट्रेक क्षितीज संस्थेने किल्ल्यावर जाण्याचा मार्ग दाखवणारे बाण जागोजागी ऑईलपेंटने काढून खारीचा वाटा उचललेला आहे. याशिवाय किल्ल्याची माहिती, जाण्याचा मार्ग फोटो व किल्ल्यावरील स्थळांचा नकाशा www.trekshitiz.com  या वेबसाईट्वर लवकरच सर्वांसाठी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येणार आहे. त्यायोगे जास्तीत जास्त ट्रेकर्सनी या किल्ल्यावर जावे व किल्ल्यावरील साफसफाईच्या कामात, शोध मोहीमेत खारीचा वाटा उचलावा.
