How to Reach

Vadap village is 5 kms from Karjat from where Gaurkamat village is further 1 km. There are two ways to reach the fort. One route starts from Gaurkamat village trailing on the mountain trunk and further to the fort. Another route from the village leads to a waterfall patch from where we have to take the unpaved path towards right which leads to electric poles. Keeping the fort to our left, the walking trail alongside the poles reaches the narrow pass/valley of the fort in 15 minutes. From here, the route to the right goes to Dhaak while the left goes to Bhivgad in 10 minutes.

Points of Interest

The rock cut steps while ascending depicts the ancientness of the fort. We reach a dug out cave after climbing these steps. There are no remains on the fort apart from 2 water tanks cut in stone which have potable water till January. It takes around 30 minutes to visit the entire fort.
