Sinnar in the Nashik district was the first capital of Yadav Dynasty. Dubera is located In dubera village near sinnar. The fort was near to the capital so it could have been used as a watch tower.on one side of the Dubera is Sinnar and on the other side there are Aad Aundh and Patta Forts.
Dubera was the birthplace of first Bajirao Peshwa. There is place called barve wada in the village. But the monument is now in bad condition.
By private vehicle we can complete Dubera,Aad,Patta,Bitangad,Aundh in two days.
How to Reach
Sinnar is nearest city to the fort. From sinnar there is S.T. service available per hour. Private jeeps are avaible from Sinnar to Dubera and Sinnar to Thangaon.
Mumbai to Dubera distance is 180 Km. First we have to go to Ghoti on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. Then on Ghoti-Sinnar road there is Hsarsul village.From Harsul there is road for Dubera fort.
Points of Interest
Janardan Swami aashram and Nageshwar temple is at the base of the fort. Tar road is present between the dubera village and aashram. By walking it takes 30 min.there are stairs from the aashram to the fort.it takes 20min to reach the top of the fort by using stairs.at the end of the stairs on the right side there are two water tanks carved in rock. Saptashrungi Mata temple is on the fort. On the opposite side of the Temple at the end of the fort there is one dry water lake. The plateau of the fort is big but there are no other monuments.
From the top of the fort we can see area upto sinnar, Mhalungi river and aundha fort.
