Introduction

Karad is a city in Satara district, and is characterized by huge rainfall and sugarcane production. The forts situated in this region are Sadashivgad, Dategad, Vasantgad, Gunvantgad and Machchindragad.

Points of Interest

The mountain top is extensive, and half an hour is enough to see the fort. There is a temple of Lord Shiva, in which 20-25 people can stay.

How to Reach

We have to reach Karad first. From Karad we have to reach Oglewadi village at 4 km, which is the base village. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the top of the fort.
