Introduction

Saptashrungi Gad popularly known as Wanicha Dongar falls in the Satmaal mountain range of Nashik district. It is a shrine of Goddess Jagadamba. The temple is one of the "Three and a Half Shakti Peethas" of Maharashtra and earns the senior most status amongst those.

How to Reach

There is a well paved road from Naanduri village to reach the base of the temple. There are buses available from Nashik old CBS (Central Bus station) every half an hour. The frequency of bus increases during Navrartri festival. Buses also ply from Wani to naanduri every 30 minutes. One can also take a taxi from Nashik to reach the fort via Naanduri.

Points of Interest

There is a shrine of Goddess Jagadamba popularly known as Wani Devi. There are proper steps leading to the temple. Fort is located above the shrine on the top. But as it is now a thriving religious place access to this fort is prohibited.
