Introduction
Mauni Maharaj Samadhi Mandir is located at Patgaon in Bhudargad taluka of Kolhapur district and is an important historical and spiritual site.
Religious Importance
The temple is closely associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who took blessings from Mauni Maharaj before the southern campaign in 1676.
History
According to historical records including the 91 Kalmi Bakhar, Shivaji Maharaj visited Mauni Maharaj on Vijayadashami in 1676. Mauni Maharaj took Jeevant Samadhi during the southern campaign and Shivaji Maharaj later issued a grant for Sahastra Bhojan in 1678.
Architecture
The samadhi is carved from a single stone, with a stepped structure. The temple features exquisite wooden craftsmanship and a sculpted Sharabh motif capturing five elephants.
How to Reach
Patgaon can be reached via Kolhapur – Gargoti – Patgaon route. The temple is located along the main road in the village.

The temple gateway was constructed by Tararani and the Sharabh sculpture is a unique highlight.
