Introduction
Siddheshwar Mandir is an ancient temple complex located on the banks of the Bhima River at Machanur village, about 43 km from Solapur on the Solapur–Pandharpur road.
Religious Importance
The temple is important for its fort-like layout, river ghats and architectural resemblance to the Tuljapur temple.
History
The temple complex is of great antiquity and developed along with Machanur fort. The Bhima river played an important role in its religious significance.
Architecture
Built in black stone, the temple complex has fortified walls, multiple gateways, guard chambers, a stone Nandi, warrior memorial stones and stepped ghats on the river side.
How to Reach
Machanur is 43 km from Solapur, 21 km from Pandharpur and 12 km from Mangalvedha. The temple is the first landmark on entering the village.

The sanctum can be accessed only by sitting due to low-height doorways.
