Introduction
Sura is an ancient bladed weapon. In prehistoric times, it was made from stone, bone, and ivory. With the advent of the Copper Age, the use of metals led to further development of the weapon.
Historical Background
Initially crafted from natural materials, Sura evolved significantly with metalworking. Single-edged as well as double-edged blades came into use. The knife (Suri) is a smaller variant of the Sura.
