These four forts vested on the Dundheshwar mountain range were used as check posts. The fort is also locally referred as "Bijotyacha Killa".

Fascinating Spots :

Kodbel village is 10 kms from Namapur and 17 kms from Satana. There are 4 Veerghals and 1 Veer-Satighal at the intersection point of roads near the S.T. bus stand while going towards Bishta fort. Proceeding towards the fort we come to the unpaved road, to the left of which is a bungalow and the area is covered with Teakwood trees. Moving across horizontally from here there are two houses and another Veerghal on the farm which is referred as “Chira” by the locals. As we move further we have to cross a dried stream path which places us in front of a mountain. There are couple of houses we come across once we cross the mountain. We can spot a dam built over a small river and we have to cross the dam by its wall and approach a house which is beyond the dam and a farm land. The river bed which we come across now has to be crossed and within 5 minutes we come across a hill which is in front of the fort. This hill has to be crossed to reach the fort base. Bishta is spread over South-North direction and one has to climb from the Southern side i.e. facing the fort climb from the left side. The path takes a traverse and reaches a cleft between the fort and a hill which. While climbing this cleft some caves can be seen to the right and the path to access them is a bit difficult. One can make use of climbing equipment to visit the caves. There are also water tanks here. This spot tends to be an ideal place to keep an eye on the path approaching the fort. Otherwise, further from here we reach the fort in about 5 minutes time. On the top of the fort to the right there is a dried up water tank. To the upper side of the tank is the wide spread fort summit. There are remnants of 6 structures on this plateau and forts of Karha, Ajmera and Fofira hill are visible from here.

It takes around 1.5 hrs to reach the fort base from Kodbel village. To climb the fort it takes 45 minutes and 30 minutes for fort visit.
4 to 5 hours should be enough to visit the entire fort and back to Kodbel village. There are very few visitors here and also the path isn’t very clear. Thus it is advised to carry a local guide from the village.
